4:13 to Katowice was a real test of our skills in three dimensions.
Within a year of writing down the first FADE IN we found funding, gained the trust of a great actor, prepared production, shoot and made the entire post-production of stereoscopic film, which premiered October 21, 2011 as the second live action 3D movie in Poland.
PRE-PRODUCTION
Good 3D begins at the conception, in the approach to the staging of the scene.
We know how to create (or adapt) the script so that its great in 2D and shines in 3D
We prepare artists from all departments for shooting with stereoscopic cameras.
When one wants to bring out the true depth, everything matters: textures, colors, sets and costumes.
PRODUCTION
What depth of field is best for 3D? How many frames per second? We Select and deliver to the set the right 3D rig, cameras, previews, etc.
If we do not have such equipment, we know where to rent it. If it does not exist... We are going to invent it and build it.
Above all, we provide a steregrapher. An essential person for every production that deals with 3D shooting.
And we have on our board one of the most experienced stereographer in Poland. Piotr Kalkowski knows every aspect of stereographic imaging. He ensures beautiful and innovative 3D pictures.
POST-PRODUCTION
Each raw 3D image requires correction, the equalization of the left and right eye image. This, among other reasons, is coused by the distortion that always accures with beamspliter mirror.
Rotoscophy and insertion of additional visual effects also requires stereoscopy knowledge.
We developted our own workflow, that is efficient and quick. Entire post-production is made using the most advanced software for the best 3D results.
